The five tombs in Anfushi date back to the Ptolemic age, these tombs were part of Pharos Island. Anfushi tombs reiterate the way the Greeks of Alexandria assimilated Egyptian beliefs into their funerary practices. 

They were discovered in 1901 AD, and painted to simulate alabaster and marble,decorated with pictures of Egyptian gods and daily life, and graffiti dating from the same period. Alabaster Tomb (Latin Cemeteries): The Alabaster Tombs are part of the Latin cemeteries discovered in Chatby. 

It consists of a squared-off alabaster portal, which used to lead to a great tomb. This Tomb might be a part of Alexander the Great’s Tomb. It dated back to the 3rd century BC.
